Review: The Taking of Pelham 1 2 3

Wednesday June 17th, 2009 in Facebook, TV/Cinema/Music | No comments »

I’ve always felt that if a movie has plot holes, the writers can easily overcome most of them by just mentioning them… Like if you’re on a space ship that seems to have gravity then as long as a character makes mention of a “gravity generator”, its all good. Because this movie is a remake of an original, there were obvious plot holes in the first version of the movie as well. I really like how this movie kept those plot holes, but made reference to them, and this helped make fun of the original a little. Although the new version had quite a bit of similarities, there was a lot of unnecessary rewriting in order to ‘modernize’ the film. Agreed, you can’t ask for $1 million for a ransom like you could back in 1974, however there was a lot of changes, that the writers made that they probably shouldn’t have. Hit the jump for my full review including a couple of comparisons from the original to the remake…

Dude gets arrested for the best prank ever! Barrel Monster!

Monday June 15th, 2009 in Sweet Links | No comments »

A 21 year old man has been arrested and fined $360 for damages to these construction traffic cones. But honestly, I’m gonna pay more attention to the Barrel Monster than the traffic cones! Honeslty I think the guy was doing a service to the people! Good on you man! Keep up the good work! At least, until your July 21st court date… Somehow reminds me of the Zombie’s Ahead road sign.

The best Flash Mob video I’ve ever seen!

Monday June 15th, 2009 in Sweet Links | No comments »

Okay we’ve all seen past video’s of flash mobbing, like the Grand Central Station freeze, and the T-Mobile ad… but this one takes the cake. EASILY! Now before you jump all up in my grill, I remind you that ‘Flash Mobbing’ isn’t about dudes exposing themselves, it’s about large mob’s flashing in like a bolt of lightning! So in this video, you look around the store and notice a dude in gold parachute pants… you’re thinking “man that dude is so redic’, he must be directly out of the 90′s!” but then the song on the radio changes to MC Hammer and he’s suddenly the coolest guy around!

FINALLY! Conceptual Remote modeled after my …

Monday June 15th, 2009 in Sweet Links | No comments »

The above remote is modeled after my own equipment. Clearly. But not in shape, only in function. Its ridged when held by attractive ladies, and limp when left alone (okay I made up that part about attractive ladies…). Panasonic has now made the worlds weirdest remote…

Constructed of a soft, flesh-like gel, the remote appears cold when off. Once turned on, however, it seems to come to life. A soft light emanates somewhere from within as the center of the device begins to slowly rise and fall, mimicking the tranquil motions of breath. Left undisturbed, the remote will slumber peacefully.

hahhahahaha… sorry yes, i am 3. big deal… wanna fight about it?
