Above Amazing: LEGO Pop-up book

Thursday November 12th, 2009 in Sweet Links | No comments »

For my 150′th post to CL I thought I’d post about Two things I loved as a child: LEGO, and popup books. I never thought I’d see the day where some genius put the two together and it wasn’t just a popup book with pictures of LEGO mens. Well this one time I did make a really sweet LEGO car that had like 26 different ways it could shoot or kill other LEGO mens (yes I still have it on my computer desk), but nothing near half as good as this creation. What do you mean those two stories aren’t related?! YES THEY ARE!!

Good Morning everyone, hope you all had a great Veteran’s / Remembrance Day. Lets jump right into it shall we? I was given a link to about 25 funny/defaced American bills which started this whole thing. It got me wondering if there were any more defaced bills that would be worth looking at… next thing I knew there was over 65 bills from Europe, America and Canada in my collection, courtesy of a few Google searches. After the jump is the best bills that I found. Click the image to leave a comment on that single bill…

Best thing to happen to Dinosaurs since… Never! AWESOME!

create-a-dino

For the trifecta of amazing here is our third dinosaur story of the day… And when I saw it on Geekologie, I’m not sure I can come up with any as awesome for a write up as Geekologie Writer. Wow… just wow. I’ll let him sell the product for you.

These Create-A-Dino fruit snacks from Betty Crocker are hands down the best thing to happen to non-nutritional gummy snacking since Shark Bites. Each package contains a collection of different dinosaur parts and allows you, the snack-star, to create your own dino! Want to gobble a Tricera-raptor? No problem — the possibilities are limitless! But not really, there ARE a finite number of pieces. Still, I WANT TO EAT EVERY COMBINATION! And even if you do eat a whole box, you’ve still consumed 0 grams of protein, so you don’t have to worry about building any pesky muscle. WIN-WIN? No, WIN-RAWR! Now get inside me you sexy little Stegasaurus-Rex. Oooh — I’ve got your tail!

In the second dino related entry posted today we find that if you lay the shapes of africa and south america over each other, it apparently turns out to be a Tyranasauras Rex head. Click the image above or the jump to see the full image which guides you through the process to locating the king’s head. *chuckle* sweeeeet.

Creating a Papercraft Link in Stop-Animation

Tuesday November 10th, 2009 in Sweet Links | No comments »

A while back I posted a story about the coolest papercraft model I think I’ve ever seen. Too bad this one isn’t the video about how he made that video… its just a poser creating his own Link papercraft. Worth a watch anyway… good job buddy.

dino-money

I really wish this coin wasn’t just for collectors… which really begs the questions: with such an awesome coin as this, why didn’t they make it a $2 coin and put it into circulation immediatly?! Now I have to pay $43 for a $4 coin?! I was never big on spending more for money than the moneies are worth. Its still nice to look at though… that’s for sure.

Now I understand why B.C. has the reputation that they do about weed. Seems the sign-installer-people were smoking the big one when they put this sign up. I Didn’t think elephants roamed wild in Canada, nore did I think that an elephant was called a deer! But this sign captured on Google StreetView proves that I’m apparently wrong. huh.

This is how you should fall down a hill…

I could totally do this… but I could do it on the side of a mountain… covered in snow… and ice… while being naked! Oh yeah you’d like that, wouldn’t you?! Man what a show off!

There was a video floating around the internet for a few months before the fellows over at Mustache and Monocle decided to spice it up a little. This is now one of the funniest drunk video’s ever. Worth a watch for sure. Enjoy.

flood

Hey everyone, it’s been a while since I posted to the CL but I have returned. Seems while I was on holidays there was some corruption of data in the database as one of my servers cratered. The issue has finally been corrected this morning and you’ll see a flood of awesome content this morning. I’ve got about a month’s worth of links to post. Prepare for the floooooooodddd!!
