Review: District 9

Currently on imdb.com the rating on this movie is near perfect… It’s sitting at an 8.9 out of 10 with just over 12k votes which makes it #26 on the Top250 list. HOW!? Hit the jump for my full review including my reasoning for why I wouldn’t give this movie all the praise it seems to be receiving.

Review: The Hurt Locker

This is a movie about the day in a life of an ordinance disposal team that is deployed in Iraq and the movie is filmed with intention to feel like a documentary. The movie allows the viewer to gain perspective into some of the challenges and dangers that soldiers are faced with everyday. The acting is superb but without a clear antagonist, it leaves the viewer feeling like the movie lacked plot direction. Hit the jump for an in depth review of my thoughts of the movie.

Review: Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian

If I had to say there was a moral or message of the movie, I think it would be the same as how I felt about the movie; Have fun. This light hearted movie was great for entertainment despite it starring Ben Stiller. Normally I’m not one to enjoy Stiller or any of his previous movies (other than the first night at the museum movie), but I actually found myself smiling a few times throughout this flick.
