Very clever video this one is… Using nothing but LEGO and some wires, dude writes some drivers for his mac that instructs the LEGO mens to press the marker to the paper or not. Hello World! Thanks to Tom for this news story.

Awesome Idea… must watch Jimmy Kimmel tonight!

Tuesday June 22nd, 2010 in Sweet Links, TV/Cinema/Music | No comments »

Seems there was a power outage at the Jimmy Kimmel taping of tonight’s live show… wait did I just type that? Taping of a Live show? hrrumpf. there’s a thinker. But anyway to the point of the entry! When they realized that they couldn’t get the show back up in time to record, they went to an alternate solution. Record the entire thing via webcam on Jimmy’s MacBook… I hope they are getting a nice cheque from Mr. Jobs later this week for the advertising they are giving Apple on this one! Tonight show features guests Seth Rogen, John Henson, and Dierks Bentley. So it’ll be the Jimmy Kimmel Live you’ve come to mostly ignore, only with a slower frame rate. Sweet. Don’t miss it!

Rally car driver is distracted by sexy fan.

Wednesday March 17th, 2010 in Sweet Links | No comments »

Now I know we’ve all been there, we see a hot fan of ours and take a second glance. That’s exactly the sort of thing you don’t want to do when you’re rally racing though! I guess he hasn’t seen many girl’s give him the ‘O’ Face, eh? eh?! *nudge* Get it? It’s an Office Space joke… like when that– forget it. I’ll tell you when you’re older.

ChatRoulette Piano guy

Wednesday March 17th, 2010 in Sweet Links | No comments »

So I dont know if you noticed but the internets have been kinda lame lately… I have resorted to only posting the most awesome of stuff that I know you’ll enjoy too; Like this guy! He sits on chat roulette and sings songs about what he sees on the other end of the webcam. So for those of you who dont know what Chat Roulette is, think AIM… with a webcam, and not 1993. Honestly, I watched this whole video with a smile on my face. Thanks to Tom for the link.

Super Bowl Ads! blah..

Monday February 8th, 2010 in Sweet Links | No comments »

This year has proven to be quite a drag on Superbowl ads in my professional opinion! The Superbowl ads consisted of a sexually driven ad (courtesy of GoDaddy) the normal barrage of movie trailers (Robin Hood, Prince of Persia and Wolfman included) and about a dozen commercials for TV shows on CBS. BORING! I must say the biggest disappointment was the sheer lack of funny ads. There were a few funny ads but overall I think the Lame-to-Awesome-ratio was too high for what I’m used to, being me and all. Hit the jump for the whole list of video’s worth watching or watch them all at adblitz’s YouTube channel.

Worms ready to distract me at work too? uggh.

Thursday January 28th, 2010 in Sweet Links | No comments »

I dont think I could say it any better than the orignal artist:

A bit of background for the non-gamers: in the late 1990s, there was a series of multiplayer games called Worms (Worms 2, Worms Armageddon, etc etc). Each player controlled a team of cute worms and took turns to try to annihilate each other by arming their own worms with a selection of outlandish and hilarious weapons. Crazy cartoon carnage ensued. Worms has recently made a comeback with new releases for consoles and iPhone, but 1999’s Worms Armageddon on PC is still a great game too.

Amazing work planetjune! Hit the jump for one more picture and a link to the flickr gallery.

Thanks to Bill for the tip on this one.

Cube Warfare: Cardnetics – Business Cards that mean Business!

Friday January 15th, 2010 in Sweet Links | 1 Comment »

In the past we’ve seen creative business cards before, but this one actually punctures my bubble of nice-to-have-but-wont-ever-want-to-order. I totally wanna order 50 of these bad boys to promote CrimsonLinks right now! Right now they are in the prototype stage, but once out in full force, the creator thinks they’ll be about $2 each. That’d be sweet to order 5,000 of these with little CrimsonLinks logo’s all over them… Then I’d sell them here for $5 each. What a sound business plan! Hit the jump for a few more pictures, including a video of the penny shooting business card in action.

Thanks to Robin for the newstip!

A while back I posted a link to a papercraft of Link from the Legend of Zelda. Well this one isnt as good, but it definitely gives it a run for its money! Check it out! I wonder if the guy who made it felt weird when he was forming her chest? hmm… THE POWAH HE MUSTA FELT! Some crazy work on the hair though. Jeeze! Another movie remix, creative enough for ya?

Wednesday January 13th, 2010 in Sweet Links | No comments »

A long time ago (in a galaxy far far away?) I blogged about a website that I unfortunately am now unable to find, but it was of a youtube video played over and over and over again, but with only one audio track. Was sweet :P Now when I blogged about it last time, it featured a video which worked quite well with it by Pogo called Alice. Pogo has since done it again, and although it might be better in the youtuuuube viewer I linked last time, It’s still pretty creative. This time Pogo tackles Terminator 2 and creates a pretty neat track. Take a listen (or a watch) above.

Elephant in the way of success.

Monday January 4th, 2010 in Sweet Links | No comments »

This one time on a math test I scratched out the question and wrote in “what is pi to 100 digits?”… then wrote out pi to a hundred digits. My teacher gave me a bonus mark for the effort but the question was worth 5 points, so I lost out in the end. Hit the jump to see what this teacher did when a kid gave an excuse for not being able to complete the question due to an elephant in his way!
