unicorn_auction

Now I’ve seen it all. It looks like he just spit into a jar and called it magical… and look at him running his hands through it. Horf! I don’t care if it is from a unicorn… the love juice of anything other than your mom should be hands off! All of the pictures from the auction page and a link to the Ebay page after the break…

Recycled Toilet Paper Rolls Look Sweet!

Monday August 31st, 2009 in Sweet Links | No comments »

tp-masks-1

If I didn’t read the title on the source site before I looked at the pictures I’d have thought that these were clay… But they are actually Toilet paper rolls (without the toilet paper of course). Well I suppose they could have been paper towel rolls that are cut down to size too, but they look pretty neat anyway. Makes me want to go home and try to make my own, except I know I’d fail so miserably… Hit the jump for the full gallery and a link to the original site.

Steady hands: House of cards on a roller coaster!

Monday August 31st, 2009 in Sweet Links | No comments »

cardsoncoaster

In a phenominon that seems to be taking the internet by storm (a very slow storm…) another picture has cropped up of someone doing something you wouldn’t normally expect to do on a roller coaster. We’ve see pictures like playing chess or jenga, but this time they are building a house of cards. Oh xkcd, thank you for starting this!

Toast-it Notes: French Toast!

FrenchToast1

How neat is this little contraption? It reportidly runs for $6.95, though I couldn’t for the life of me figure out how to order less than 12 of them at a time from their website. >_< Lesson 1 in selling stuff online: Make it stupidly easy to spend my money on your website. The longer it takes me to find the checkout button, the higher the chance that I’m going to realize that it’s stupidly overpriced and totally un-needed. Fix your website people! The toaster is still kinda neat though :-)

Thanks for the newstip Linda.

Another Literal Version: Beck – Loser

Monday August 31st, 2009 in Sweet Links | No comments »

Personally I found the first Literal version of a song that I saw still the best and most creative… but people keep making these damn things. Here’s another one worth mentioning, however still not as cool as Aha – Take on Me.

LIARS! This Is The Only Level

singlelevel

I think this game took me about 10 minutes to beat but I found it creative and neat none-the-less. A series of stages encourages you to move an elephant through a single level towards a mario style pipe… Seems easy at first, but notice the lack of directions? you’re left to figure out all the levels on your own. See how well you can do on your first try. Hit the jump for my screencapped final score.

Cash machine’s talkin slang, yo!

Those tricky bankers and their lingo… Now they’ve got their machine’s using weird language too. No longer will the unknown words of bankers, like amortization or maturity, remain out of everyday life. Check out the picture above of a bank machine in London now. Apparenlty its not alone either, there were a few machines like this one setup in order to amuse the general population. I’de pay good Suasage & Mash to see my 85yr old german grandfather use this machine! That’s for damn sure! Thanks to Bill for this link too, who I should probobly offer a job to, for all the links he’s submitted recently.

Another Video Game Stop Animation – 8bit

Monday August 24th, 2009 in Sweet Links | No comments »

I hope you all had a great weekend… Here’s today’s first post. This is today’s first post because it clearly will be #1 today as well. This is why I’ve posted it first. Buddies go ahead and make some stop animation out of lego and their inspiration was video games of the 80s. More specifically the NES. Ahhh the good ‘ole years! This one def needs sound to be throughly enjoyed.

Who knew sand could be so expressive…

Friday August 21st, 2009 in Sweet Links | No comments »

This is a video from Ukrain’s got Talent and holy man do they ever. Just wait until you watch this girl move the sand in ways I didn’t think sand could be moved. It’s so profound and expressive… I may just cry a little here! Seems so appropriate for my 101st post doesnt it?! (No, It’s not like horse!) It has audio and I found it improved the experience so if you are at work, it might be best to wait until the co-workers go for meetings or until you get home. There isn’t words or anything, it just adds to it. Check it out!

Chess set that is ready for war!

Thursday August 20th, 2009 in Sweet Links | 6 Comments »

chess01_02

If you’ve ever lost at chess to me (because nobody has ever won… except my grandfather) than you’ll know that I enjoy sweet looking chess sets. I actually have a chess board as the coffee table between my couches in my home theatre room. Then on a completely unrelated note, you may or may not know that I really like medieval times. That being said, I think I’ve found the sweetest and most creative chess set ever made. Dude who made it had some serious patience to put this thing together though… I wonder if I can commission him to make me one in a week. Hmmm.. Hey Dan, did you want a chess rematch next week? You might win this time… (not likely). Hit the jump for the full gallery and a link to the artists story. Thanks to Bill for heads up on the story.
