Artsy: Watercolour Painting Prodigy Child

Friday July 31st, 2009 in Sweet Links | No comments »

Country life

I warn you now, this post has a lot more artsy element than most that will ever appear on the site, but I really felt I had to share it anyway. Above is a picture painted by a 6 year old… I don’t know about you but when I was 6, my artwork looked very different.

Experts have said that the six-year-old’s atmospheric paintings, which began with harbour scenes and expanded to include rural vistas, animal portraits and landmarks, have perspective, shadow and reflections that demonstrate an ability well beyond his years.

The crazy cooks over at Luxirare have outdone themselves this time. What happens when you mix my favourite dessert with a lollipop? Nothing short of genius! Check out the almost artistic pictures and a link to the full gallery after the break…

Make Your Own Power Mushrooms!

Monday July 27th, 2009 in Sweet Links | No comments »

power radish

I am totally skipping out on work tomorrow to make 6 dozen of these bad boys… They come with the power of vegetables too! Imagine making a salad for a dinner party and putting a bunch of these little guys into the salad. You’ll be seen as just as awesome as me! (well not quite, but it’ll definitely help).

A link to the full instructions can be found on AnnaTheRed’s flickr gallery for the little guys. Reminds me of the truffle mice I bake every year for christmas actually.

Apparently Creativity is best…

Thursday July 16th, 2009 in Sweet Links | No comments »

Last Feb there was an auction on EBay that listed a bike which was rad to the power of sick. I had the link to it sent to me a few times, so I’m sure you saw it at some point. Well turns out the auction was actually an experiment in creativity. THEY FOILED US ALL! Geekologie even ran a story on the matter. Pretty cool guys!

The dudes bought an ordinary bike on ebay then sold it with a rad to the power of sick description. Proof that creativity really does help.

I think the title says it all… Clearly this guy could have had it much worse though. Imagine the same prank, except with any of the following:

Cooking Oil
Chicken Parts
Old Diapers
ROBOTS!

just sayin…

Dude gets arrested for the best prank ever! Barrel Monster!

Monday June 15th, 2009 in Sweet Links | No comments »

A 21 year old man has been arrested and fined $360 for damages to these construction traffic cones. But honestly, I’m gonna pay more attention to the Barrel Monster than the traffic cones! Honeslty I think the guy was doing a service to the people! Good on you man! Keep up the good work! At least, until your July 21st court date… Somehow reminds me of the Zombie’s Ahead road sign.

The best Flash Mob video I’ve ever seen!

Monday June 15th, 2009 in Sweet Links | No comments »

Okay we’ve all seen past video’s of flash mobbing, like the Grand Central Station freeze, and the T-Mobile ad… but this one takes the cake. EASILY! Now before you jump all up in my grill, I remind you that ‘Flash Mobbing’ isn’t about dudes exposing themselves, it’s about large mob’s flashing in like a bolt of lightning! So in this video, you look around the store and notice a dude in gold parachute pants… you’re thinking “man that dude is so redic’, he must be directly out of the 90′s!” but then the song on the radio changes to MC Hammer and he’s suddenly the coolest guy around!
