Now that I have seen this movie twice, I think I can actually say I fully understand this brain twister of a movie to its fullest. First off let me state that I haven’t played any of the Prince of Persia games since the original side scrolling edition released in 1989. Whiteout is set in Antarctica, where U.S. Marshall Carrie Stetco is the only law enforcement stationed and takes place just a few days before the Antarctic Winter will begin. Currently on imdb.com the rating on this movie is near perfect… It’s sitting at an 8.9 out of 10 with just over 12k votes which makes it #26 on the Top250 list. HOW!? Hit the jump for my full review including my reasoning for why I wouldn’t give this movie all the praise it seems to be receiving.

Most times when you hear about a movie that is ‘based on a true story’ you think sadness or some sort of heart ache. This movie was not the case at all… Maybe that’s because it was based on two true stories and not just one. What a fun film! I know some of you disagreed with my review of The Ugly Truth when I said it was as good as it was, and as a result have downgraded the review for it to an 8. Two reasons why I downgraded it, one of which was 500 Days of Summer was better than The Ugly Truth, but not as good as Star Trek.
