This one time on a math test I scratched out the question and wrote in “what is pi to 100 digits?”… then wrote out pi to a hundred digits. My teacher gave me a bonus mark for the effort but the question was worth 5 points, so I lost out in the end. Hit the jump to see what this teacher did when a kid gave an excuse for not being able to complete the question due to an elephant in his way!

How’s that title for ya… say that 10 times without messing up! ha! Gizmodo occasionally does these photography contests, and this week’s results really caught my eye. Check out the full gallery at the link below, but there are some that are really neat. Hit the jump for a description how the non-photoshopped picture above was taken and a few of my favourites from the gallery…

In the second dino related entry posted today we find that if you lay the shapes of africa and south america over each other, it apparently turns out to be a Tyranasauras Rex head. Click the image above or the jump to see the full image which guides you through the process to locating the king’s head. *chuckle* sweeeeet.

Holy cow, how creative! When this news tip showed up in my queue I was nearly blown away after clicking the link. Thanks very much to aisakie for the pictures of the factories where video games of the 80’s and 90’s were made. The picture above is a shot of the factory where Tetrinos, the blocks used in Tetris, are manufactured. Never before has the public been allowed into these exclusive locations. Here’s an excerpt from the photographer’s website
Tetris:
When Alexei Pajitnov first ordered a load of bricks from Karpov Abramtsevo’s workshop, workers there were wondering who could be interested in all those right-angled blocks. No one in 1985 could have imagined those concrete Tetriminos would become world famous and constitute Russia’s deadliest weapon against Reagan’s America.
Hit the jump for a few more of the pictures and a link to the gallery.
