umm… win. I really hope this doesn’t turn out to be some crazy CGI/Photoshop job. Until then, this guy has bigger balls than the squirel with elephantitis.

Thursday August 6th, 2009 in Sweet Links | No comments »

link-baby-1

Soon as I have a son I’m dressing him in this… Which means I need 2 things:

  1. Lady to have a son with… preferably hot and smart (Sorry don’t expect child support)
  2. Someone who knits to make this outfit for me.

Anyone? Please use the contact form if you’re able to fill either point…

If you read my review of the movie Up, you’ll know that I really enjoyed the short film from Pixar before the movie started. Well good news! It’s been posted online for all our viewing enjoyment. View it above, or click the link below to view it on the metacafe website.

I wonder what the reload time is like on this thing… If its short enough, it would be a sweet new paintball gun for me! Just load up 500 paintballs and shoot it at people on the otherside of the forest… “got ya!”. Spoiler Alert: the last house isn’t a house, its a wall. cheater.

Let the Excitment Begin: Tron Legecy

okay wow… I just watched this video and it actually looks like the movie could be good. you’ll have to hit this link in order to get the real trailer, but the mashup video of Michael Jackson’s beat it and the tron trailer looks pretty sweet too, so I linked it above. (oh btw, the official trailer takes a while to load, so you may want to have it load up in another window while you watch the mash up video)

Make Your Own Power Mushrooms!

power radish

I am totally skipping out on work tomorrow to make 6 dozen of these bad boys… They come with the power of vegetables too! Imagine making a salad for a dinner party and putting a bunch of these little guys into the salad. You’ll be seen as just as awesome as me! (well not quite, but it’ll definitely help).

A link to the full instructions can be found on AnnaTheRed’s flickr gallery for the little guys. Reminds me of the truffle mice I bake every year for christmas actually.

Neat: Solar Powered Webcam

Friday July 10th, 2009 in Sweet Links | 1 Comment »

I’ve done plenty of research on the web for webcam setups in the past. I’ve always had an interest in public webcam and I’ve attempted to setup cheap and effective versions for a while now, but when I came across this blog entry everything else seemed inadequate. Its a neat read for anyone who likes solar powered ideas or public webcams… Check out the full entry in the link below.

About six months ago I got this crazy idea. What if I put a webcam up on our hill? There was no power up there, so I thought of the options. I settled on the idea of building a solar powered webcam. Having never done this before, I set out to learn about solar panels, batteries, and webcams. I’ve tried to capture the important parts here so you can learn from what I’ve done and build your own solar powered webcam.

Thanks for the information Bill!
